Southern Crabapple
Malus angustifolia
Southern crabapple is a smaller tree that is often found in southern pine forests. It produces small, green apples that drop in the fall and are highly preferred by whitetails. The mother tree that we harvest seed from starts dropping apples in September and drops heavily through October. In addition to highly attractive fruit, Southern Crabapple produces beautiful, white blossoms in the early spring.
**This is a seedlings southern crabapple, not grafted. Our grafted southern crabapple is more expensive ($25), but will produce fruit at a younger age. Visit our “Crabapple” page for grafted trees.
