Matsumoto Persimmon
The Matsumoto produces a sweet fruit that is slightly larger and more round that the Fuyu. Fruit ripens in September/ early-October, 2-3 weeks before the Fuyu. Plant with Fuyu to extend period in which ripe fruit is available. Non-astringent. Matsumoto is a self-fertile variety. However, fruit production will increase when planted with at least one additional variety.
