Big House Persimmon

The Big House persimmon is one of my absolute favorites. This is a grafted female from a highly productive native persimmon. The tree sits in the yard at our family farm and will draw deer near the house in broad daylight. Not all persimmons are created equal when it comes to how attractive they are to whitetails. Dropping fruit from October through December, the Big House persimmon is a hard to beat.

*In September 2024, Hurricane Helen snapped the entire crown off of our original tree. The trunk has sprouted back and the tree is producing a solid crop of persimmons for fall of 2025!
