Swamp White Oak
Quercus bicolor
The Swamp White Oak is a great selection for whitetail plantings. Extremely palatable acorns, production at a relatively young age and ability to grow in a wide range of soils… checks all the boxes for me! Expect acorns to drop beginning in October. Adapted to moist soils but will do well on upland sites as well. Tolerant of some flooding.
