This is a hybird of two resilient oak species, the Overcup and Live Oak.

When it comes to site adaptability and rapid growth, the Overcup oak is a champion. Combine those characteristics with the productivity and highly preferred acorns of the Live Oak and you have the Compton Oak. This tree also shows great promise as a resilient and beautiful ornamental tree.

Drop Time: October-December
Soil Requirements: tough and adapted to a wide range of conditions. Will tolerate low ground with minimal flooding.
